Amanda & Thomas
Amanda and Thomas are very positive, smily people. The bride was getting ready for the wedding with the bridesmaids in the apartment at the Holiday Inn. Then everyone went to a small charming church in Niles (Cleveland area), where the groom with grooms was waiting. The bride’s dad walked with his daughter down the aisle and at that moment a wedding ceremony in Hawaiian style began. It was really nice, the atmosphere was very pleasant. Before our arrival at the wedding reception, we went for a short outdoor session to a very pleasant park. The Hippodrome Banquet Center located in downtown Warren is a fantastic building from the previous era. At the beginning of the 20th century it was a popular theater, a bit like the The Biograph Theater in Chicago. I really like such retro places with their own history. I always try to catch emotional moments during the wedding. And this time it worked as well. During the speeches, the air bubbled up from emotions, and I could photograph what is so fleeting, i.e. tears of emotion, subtle expressions of joy and loud laughter. Of course, there are no audio tracks in the pictures, but I hope that by looking at them you will hear the laughter and joy that accompanied the hosts and guests on their wedding day. At the first dance, the Bride and Groom chose Bob Marley’s song “Is This Love”, which was played and sung by two amazing girls and it suited the whole event very well.
I want to love you, every day and every night
We’ll be together, with a roof right over our heads
We’ll share the shelter, of my single bed
We’ll share the same room, yeah! For Jah provide the bread
Is this love, is this love, is this love
Is this love that I’m feelin’?
Is this love, is this love, is this love
Is this love that I’m feelin’?
I want to know, want to know, want to know now
I got to know, got to know, got to know now
So I throw my cards on your table
I want to love you, I want to love and treat, love and treat you right
I want to love you every day and every night
We’ll be together, yeah, with a roof right over our heads
We’ll share the shelter, yeah, oh now of my single bed
We’ll…
Aloha!
